The prevention of HIV/AIDS is a challenge that calls for a communal response because the epidemic attacks our humanity, life, family, love and faith. Combating the epidemic has moral, social and spiritual dimensions. We believe each person has a unique call to respond to the needs of the infected and affected persons with love.

Sister Lena is involved in the administration of health services in the diocese where she works. Although sister is a state registered nurse/midwife, she ministers as the coordinator of HIV/AIDS prevention services. Sister tries to educate and monitor health workers and patients to accept one another and interact freely in love. She does this by offering free counseling to the infected patients and their affected families and communities.
