On Thursday 13th of April, 2021, the Sisters, Staff & Students of Dr. William Kupiec Girls‘s Academy Agabduma, Idah diocese, Kogi State, Nigeria celebrated 175 years of SHCJ existence and 90 years of SHCJ presence in Africa. At the Thanksgiving Mass presided over by Fr. Anthony, he congratulated the SHCJ Sisters and the Society at large. In the same vein, he affirmed the courage of Sisters Margaret Ogunlade, Winifred Maichiki, Maureen Abadom and all those who have joined the Society. He charged the sisters to emulate the early Christian community who shared everything in common; being one in heart and mind. He concluded by praying for grace and strength for all the members of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus who are living and asked that God may grant eternal rest to those who have passed on. The SHCJ story was told both in drama and in words. Students presented Igala and Igbo dance, they feasted together and ended the spectacular event in a dancing galore.
