Siria Ana Rivera – Executive Director, Providence Center

Providence Center is a Sponsored Ministry of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus.

Providence Center is proud to work with Fairhill community members and provide services at multiple stages throughout their lives, especially during periods of transition and change. Manny Rivera, our Classroom Aide, is a perfect example of this. After finishing 10th grade, Manny started working with us as a Teen Leader, and then remained a part of the Providence Center team throughout high school. He was an active participant in our Summer Leadership Academy, and we proudly helped him develop skills to become a strong leader and role model for our Power after school students.

After graduating from high school and enrolling at the Community College of Philadelphia, Manny has returned to Providence Center as our Classroom Aide. He serves as a role model not only for our Power students but for our Teen Leaders as well! As a former Teen Leader, Manny provides staff with an important perspective, and he is an example of what happens when Providence Center invests in the lives of young people. When asked about his role in our program, Manny says that he’s happy to give back to a program that has had such a positive impact on his life.
