The head of school at Washington School for Girls, Mary Bourdon, RJM, was featured in the Global Sisters Report as one of “Five U.S. Sisters Pope Francis Should Meet While He’s Here.”
The school the was founded by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, Religious of Jesus and Mary, and the National Council of Negro Women in 1998, and remains one of the Holy Child Sisters’ co-sponsored ministries.
The Holy Child Sisters’ contribution to the field of education has been a hallmark of the Society for nearly 170 years.
