A 2006 graduate of Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child, Summit, NJ, Alex is passionate about the opportunity for the private sector to bring business solutions to challenges of poverty, economic development, and gender equality. After studying abroad in East Africa as an undergraduate at the University of Notre Dame, Alex pursued a career in advocacy. Alex worked for three years at the Enough Project, dedicated to ending genocide and crimes against humanity in Central and East Africa. As the Assistant Campaign Manager for Raise Hope for Congo, Alex developed campaigns targeting the electronics industry about conflicts arising from the mining of minerals. From 2013-2014, Alex spent the year in Ghana as a Princeton in Africa Fellow with Olam International. There she worked to develop strategies that deliver mutual value for companies and farmers through training programs, education campaigns on gender equality and child labor, and opportunities for partnership with development organizations. Alex is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Yale University and will join the Boston Consulting Group after graduation in May 2016. Alex exemplifies the Holy Child tradition of service by using her gifts to address systemic causes of injustice.
