Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation

The presence of the Incarnate Word shines out from the heart of all Creation.

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

As Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus, whose charism is Incarnational, “we commit ourselves to explore ever more deeply and in diverse ways the mystery of Incarnation.” (2010 General Chapter Enactments).

As women of faith today, steeped in Incarnational spirituality relevant to the 21st century, our mission is to help others to believe that God lives and acts in them and in our world and to rejoice in this sacred presence. We recognize the need to connect our passionate love for humanity with an equally passionate concern for the protection of our world. (Laudato Si. 216). An understanding of Incarnation today embraces the whole of Creation and the flourishing of the whole web of life.

We work in practical solidarity with marginalized people and strive to make our lifestyles an alternative to consumerism and environmental destruction.

Within our groups and ministries dedicated to social justice, we utilize the full potential of our educational tradition to be an agent for change, oppose forces that exploit and harm children and respond to the crises facing our planet.
